Meet Digna Medina, Miss Texas US Nation 2021
Digna Medina is the reigning Miss Texas US Nation 2021 Titleholder. Digna, who also goes by the name: Nina – has been modeling for almost 1 year. Digna was inspired to explore the modeling industry after a friend participated in a pageant and encouraged her to give it a try, as it helped her to build confidence. Digna then participated in a virtual casting call to participate in the Miss Texas US Nation 2021 state preliminary pageant. Being a part of this pageant helped her to challenge herself and try something out of her comfort zone. As a titleholder of Miss Texas US Nation 2021, Digna had the opportunity to be featured in Super Chic New York Fashion Week, and more Fashion Week experiences to come.
Digna plans to implement her title to show other women and young girls that it’s all about confidence and how far you are willing to go to achieve those goals, make new ones and that hard work pays is one of the best rewards you can give yourself.
“My platform is helping children who come from broken homes and have been victims of abuse. I believe I can make a difference in young lives by giving them hope and showing them that there is a second chance to life. I would want to be that mentor and guidance to the younger generation, as they are our future, and by doing that I want to help them prepare for our society.
“If I could change one child’s life that would mean the world to me,” says Digna.
As for modeling; Digna hopes to participate in more runways, commercials, fitness, a part model, promotional, glamour, and print modeling. Something unique about Digna is that she also likes to belly dance, although she hasn’t done it in a while. She also enjoys boxing, working out, and adult coloring books. As Miss Texas US Nation 2021, Digna is also looking forward to promoting diversity in the modeling industry and breaking the common model stereotype of having to be a certain height, size, or look in order to be a model. Digna believes that as long as you have confidence in yourself, you can become successful in this industry.
