DealersLink Announces Industry’s First National Pricing Heat Map

December 02
23:10 2020

Broomfield, CO, USA – December 2, 2020 – DealersLink unveiled its National Pricing Heat Map, an auto industry first that provides a visual map display of price variations in any given search area. This new visualization will make it faster and easier to understand vehicle price variations by location.

In keeping with DealersLink’s philosophy of dead-simple-design and powerful car-selling tools, the visualization will bring split second inventory decision making power to sales managers, and expose regional hot spots for buying cars at the best prices.

“It’s great to have a lot of data when evaluating the market — and we do — but nothing makes the data more usable than clear visuals. That’s what we’ve created for the first time here,” said DealersLink Senior UI Developer Tony Bebber.

In the DealersLink Competition View tool, all competitive vehicle sets are plotted on a map. Vehicles priced below market average are shown in green, vehicles close to average are yellow, and vehicles higher than average are red.

“It’s been a challenging year in the car business and the best thing we could do for our dealers is to continue to innovate our way out of it. The Pricing Heat Map makes it easier for them to be profitable in a complex auto market,” said DealersLink’s Director of Dealer Services, Devon Peterson.

Pricing Heat Map builds upon Competition View. The most in-depth retail market analysis tool in the industry. This is the latest in a string of innovations from DealersLink, including the MotorCloud vehicle trade in app, OEM Build Data, retail pricing automation, and the NADA pre-book report.
